Question Transmisson Question.....

Hey guys!

I'm the 5 year 250k mile owner of a 91 Supercab F-150 with a 4.9L & 5 spd transmission. The truck has in the neighborhood of 460k on it, I got it at about 215k, since then I have done very few major repairs, clutch ect. I did an engine swap about 58k ago ( couldnt pass up the deal I got on a rebuilt engine($800 for a truck with 8k miles on it and a bad fuel pump)) However, the transmission is getting a little tired, and rather than send it in for a rebuild, or doing it myself, I'd like to find a newer transmission with a couple hundred thousand less miles. LOL What I need to know, is which manual transmissions will work with this particular truck. From what I understand, the '90 & '91 F-150s were the only ones that came with this particular transmission, but I could be mistaken.

If Y'all have any insight to the range of years I could pull a transmission from, I would appreciate it!

Thanks in advance!

Can't supply the info asked but would like to say you have a great attitude. "A newer trans with a couple hundred thousand miles less" is a clasic Ford true to blue owner. Go get-em!
