When changing transmission fluid do you recommend to completely flush it. I've had mixed reviews some say don't because could cause problems. Some say yes to clean the whole thing out. Any suggestions on what I should do. It's a 2000 f150 v8 4.6 triton

I'd drop the pan and change the filter. Your gonna lose about six quarts. If your concerned about the rest drop the pan again after a couple thousand miles and refill again. That will take care of most of it. That is a proper service.

I think using the word flush is raising red flags for some. A flush is the worst thing you can do to a transmission. That's where they hook it up to a machine and "flush" the transmission. Lots of time they use the wrong fluid, the fluid they do put in stirs up all the trash in the bottom of the pan and clogs the filter and that leads to transmission failure. Chrysler and GM have came out with TSB's saying not to "flush" their transmissions.
