So my truck sat for several months. I repaired the truck and took it for a spin down the road. Ran great, sounded great, and shifted great. Parked it for an hour, it won’t go when shifted into any forward gear but will go in reverse.

Fluid is good. Someone says forward clutch but then others say that they wouldn’t think so if it never had transmission problem before. Anyone have any suggestions before the transmission shop hits me with a $1,600 bill to rebuild?

Its a 2001 f150 5.4

and yes 1600 clams for a total rebuild is not bad at all....

 

Not a bad price. That's what my cousin paid to have his 4r70w rebuilt. He has an '04
