Default Transmision problem

I have a 1994 F 150 4x4.It has a 5.8 liter with 104,000 miles. Not sure what kind of automatic tranny it has. Some times not every time when I'm driving down the road it seems like it goes into neutral, then goes back into gear.Has anyone ever experienced this? And if you did what did you do to fix it? Thanks

You can find the trans type in two places. The door plate will have a code shown or it's stamped on the trans pan (like a big letter S) You can also use the Vin decoder on this web site and it will show you the drivetrain specs.
It sounds like your tranny fluid is low or the torque converter is going bad. Warm it up, put it in park and check the dipstick while it's running. If the fluid is bright red and full it's probably the torque converter. Hope this helps.
