Transfer case diagnostic
Hey folks. I have a 1998 f150 4x4 and lately the transfer case has been acting funny. Sometimes when I start it the transfer case will have to cycle through 4x4 and 4x4 low before it goes back to drive and somtines gets stuck in either neutral or 4x4. I think it’s a computer issue but my dad and some others think it’s gummed up inside and causing it to get stuck. I can usually fix the problem temporarily by putting it in neutral cutting it off and restarting it. Any comments would help. Thanks
