trans temp normal range
Hello I have 2011 F150 4X4 supercrew with 5.0L and noticed that the trans temp digital readout shows temps of 203 degrees after 45 minutes going down the highway, outside temps around 65-70 F. wondering what the normal range is and what the max limit is?
my analog gauge shows almost mid range. however it stays at the mid range when the trans temp indicates 150-200 degrees. it there a different sender that gives this info?
I'm located in Arizona when summer hit we get temps above 120 F.
Thanks

Watched trans gauge in my 2011 3.5l Screw 4x4. Has trans oil cooler.
Spent this afternoon between 3600-5000’.
1500’ 8 mile climb at 55mph trans ran 192
Slight rolling hills at 65mph trans ran 188
Hottest I saw all day was engine braking down a long winding road in M1 @ 3500+/- rpm trans temp was 197.
Seems like more airflow made for cooler operating temperatures.

got a long road trip in this past weekend went up to Sedona, and noticed the trans temp got up to 206 F in the uphill climb.
outside temp was around 75 F. usually its been around 201-203. so I guess that is normal temp for this truck.
