I have 2000 F-150 5.4 automatic. When it shifts from 2nd to 3rd gear it revs like it is in neutral before catching 3rd gear. All other shifts are OK. I have changed the trans fluid and filter and also tried adding a conditioner to the fluid but none of that helped. Any ideas what the problem could be? Thanks in advance.

sounds like you may be looking at a trans rebuild in the near future. 3rd gear is slipping
