Default Tranny trouble!!

Hey guys i have a 01 f150 5.4 v8 with a auto tranny. I'm havin some tranny trouble, my over drive light is flashin and when I'm goin between 30 and 40 when it try's to shift it revs up to 3 grand and then shifts I could be runnin 1500 grand and it still revs up too 3 grand to shift. Does any one know what this is, is it really bad and how can I fix it?

Sounds like a shift solenoid... I would stop driving it imediatly.. And have the codes checked

i'm going through some tranny issues myself, i just recently drained my fluid and discovered there's no magnet in the pan. i'm gonna pull the valve body tomorrow and clean it up. when was the last time you changed the fluid? I don't know for sure yet but it seems the problem i'm having is somehow fluid related.
