owners manual designates a different towing transmission. I simply would like to know when to replace the transmission fluid on a 2007 ford f150 v6 engine stx.

I was led to believe that the fluid was a life - time fill. I changed mine anyway and noticed a smoother shift.

Sorry to take over your thred but, is it ok to drain some of your tranny fluid? or is it better to just drain it all? I want to add some tranny additives in, like trtanny honey.

I recommend you put exactly what the owner's manual says and nothing more.
