Default TPS question

While trying to fix a lean bank 1 & 2 code, I saw that the TPS is reading 20% at idle and only 94% at WOT. I changed the TPS and got the same readings. Is this reading correct or is something else wrong? Any help with the lean bank 1 & 2 problems would be welcome. Thanks.

When the motor is off does the throttle plate close completely? If not, take the throttlebody elbow off and clean behind the plate. The TPS readings are a little high on idle but that could be because of a vacuum leak. Have you checked the condition of the PCV hose and elbows? Look for tears or very soft spots on the rubber elbows.

Thanks,
Yes, the butterfly closes all the way. I don't think it's a vacuum leak though because I get the same TPS reading with the engine off.

Believe two concerns are not related. Tackle the vaccum problem first and worry about the TPS value later. Torkum has posted pics about the hoses on the V-8's splitting and causing these codes. If not getting a TPS code from computor, pass on that at this time.

I know on my mustangs, I oblonged the holes out in my TPS to get more adjustment out of it. Worked great
