Default tire question

i just bought a 2004 f150 FX4 supercab flareside. i just put on 2.5" front strut extensions to level it out and now it is time for some new tires. i am looking to get 35" mud tires but i dont know what i need to be looking for dimension wise. currently i have 275 65 r18. if i want to keep the same rims what should i look for 35x12.50xr18? 295 65 r18?? also any suggestions on good tires would be greatly appreciated. especially those which are relatively inexpensive as mud/ all terrain tires go.

Unfortunately your 18" wheels are only 7.5" wide and won't fit a 12.5" wide tire. The 295/65R18 would probably be your best bet but weird sizes like that cost exorbitantly more and if you need one in a pinch, it won't be available except by special order likely. 275/70R18 would be a very commonly available size but only 33" tall.

Well looking at the prices the 295 is pretty comparable to a 35x12.50 so the only issue is availability if you had to replace one in a pinch. I would probably say go with the 295 since you plan on lifting it fairly soon then when they wear out get a 35x1250
