Default Timing 5.4L 3v

Can any help me with re-timing this 09 f150 5.4 3v motor I had to send the heads to a machine shop and lost timing.

I've watched some videos but they all include a particular valve spring compressor that cost about 110$ (cheaper ones have terrible reviews)

Is there any way to re-time this motor without having to buy all the special tools.

You don’t need any special tools to time a 3V?

So I pulled the trigger on the the valve spring compressor and the crank line up tool. Can any one just verify how the cams are supposed to be positioned. I think I might just be over thinking this whole thing but want to make sure I'm spot on

Bolt the phaser to the cam, set the phaser with the “R” pointed at 12oclock on the right hand head, “L” at 12oclock on the LH head , and time the crank
