The truck recently threw three codes...P1051 (Brake Switch Signal Missing or Improper), P1550 (Power Steering Pressure Sensor out of Self-Test Range), and P1704 (Transmission system problems).

I just purchased this used vehicle 3 weeks ago and now I get these three codes. Any idea what would trip all three of these codes?

Also, does the truck's computer store whether these codes were cleared in the past?

I smell something fishy with the dealership and trying to find out whether they provided full disclosure.

Also, the dimmer switch was broken and odometer light was out. I didn't find out until two weeks later because I don't drive at night that often.

 

Don't everybody speak at once I'm thinking it was a glitch in the system...strange to throw three very different codes.
