Default Suspension Help

Posted this on another site but am getting no help there so thought maybe someone here would have some input. I seem to be having some sort of suspension problems that i thought i could post here first to get a starting diagnosis before i take it somewhere to be checked out.

First when in reverse there is a very distinct squeaking noise at low speeds. It seems to go away as i reverse faster and once i put it in drive it goes away completely.

Secondly i feel as if my truck just drives extremely rough. I feel every little bump or pot hole extremely when hit while driving. Seems to be really bad when taking bumps or pot holes and is sometimes even noticeable and flat pavement as well.

Lastly there is a pretty distinct vibration between 25 and 30 mph but no where else.

Any ideas as to what any of this could be? I've read that my u-joints could be a possible culprit, but i was also wondering if maybe the rough ride was due to bad shocks?

Its a 2004 FX4 with 115,000 miles on it. I am not sure if the shocks are OE right now but that will definitely be checked.

Sorry for the long post but im looking for recommendations here before i pay someone to take a look at it elsewhere.

Thanks

not sure about the rough ride part but id start with the shocks if it were me...

as for the vibration between 25-30 mph my first step would probably be to get the tires balanced, i have a pot hole knock one out of balance before...

and for your squeak...i wouldnt think it would be a u joint if it is only doing it in reverse and goining away in drive...they normally tend to skeak all the time and get louder the faster you go but thats if you let them get really bad lol...id start by checking to see if you have any play in them and if not trying better isolate where exactly the squeak is coming from when its doing it...

not really sure just a couple of suggestions
