Long story short
Have broken piston skirt 54000 miles took into dealer with only CAI and asked for warranty
Mind you i bought the extended warranty after they had already replaced the engine from a rod out the side 2 years ago
They denied the claim said that mode 9 or 6 said 12 (this mode reads the number of cranks that have happened) and also said the CAI. Said they searched my truck and found a programmer in the center console. I said one why the **** are you searching my car and 2 i have not used it in 2 years afraid engine would blow again.
All in all refused to warranty the engine
From here i want to take to another ford service place for another look as i think they salvaged parts from old engine and bought short block and they dont want to be held accountable for it if ford inspected and determined they were the cause .
Is there a dealer in Florida that is good with warranty repair getting approved
they charged me $897 to look at it and diagnose
