Strange window prob
I have a strange problem with my driver's side window on my 1998 Ford F-150.
I've read everything I can online, watched videos, removed the motor, bought a new motor, etc., but even with the new motor I am having the same issue.
The motor will turn one way, it will close the window, but neither the old or the new motor will turn in the other direction, to open the window. I can hear a noise when I push the switch to open, like it is trying to engage, but the little gear on the motor does not turn in that particular direction.
Can anyone help me out with this issue? Thanks!

Okie dokie, thanks for the info. I actually got it figured out - somehow...
Once I realized that it was not the motor, I started in with the switch. I took the switch apart and started cleaning it, and familiarizing myself with the switch mechanism itself - I noticed that one of the little pins was not raising back up like the rest of them.
Turns out that the pin, or whatever it is, had become disconnected, where it was not able to raise back up. Meaning it was just laying there flat.
It's hard to describe, but in the end I reconnected the microscopic pin and now all is working just fine.
Thanks again for your help.

Ran into another issue.
The motor wasn't the problem, the switch seemed to be the problem, but I was able to repair what I thought the issue was. It worked for a few days, but the problem keeps popping up intermittently.
I ordered a brand new switch - and still the same problem. Window will not open. There is clicking - like it is trying, but nothing happens.
Do I have a wiring issue?
