Steering column changeover
Working on a 95 E150 econoline. The upper and lower bearings have come apart and wallered out the housing. I am unable to locate a used non tilt wheel column anywhere in north america. Tilt wheel columns are readily available. Does anyone know if a tilt wheel column can be mounted in place of a van that came equipped with a non tilt wheel steering column?

It would be easier to help you if you had included pics of the van & column. Ford switched to 1 steering column for all vehicles in the mid-late 90s, and I think they're still using it now. If the area around the ignition lock cylinder is plastic, your van has the modern column. If so, it's a tilt column, but the tilt release lever has been "decontented".
