Starting issues
Hello,
Vehicle: 1993 F-150 XL 2WD
Engine: 4.9l (300) I6
Transmission: MT Granny gear 5spd (4spd w/over drive gear )
Mileage: 256,000 miles.
When I go to start the truck I have full power but a weak sputtery start, sometimes it'll start the first time sometimes not. Usually starts up the second time and idles fine...it has a new batter, plugs, wires, rotor.
I've changed everything in the fuels system in this order: fuel pressure regulator, inline fuel filter, in-tank fuels pumps. The only parts I have not changed is the injectors, so I was looking to see if anyone else might have some input as to what my next move should be.
Should I go ahead and replace the injectors? If so what brands would you recommend? Also, does it matter what pressure/ flow rate I get?
Thanks I appreciate any input
