I went to start my truck and it just did a rapid machine gun like click while the key was turned.

No light fluctuation other than some dash flashing along with the repeated clicks. Power seemed fine, windows, lights, etc.

Jumped it and it started right away.

I'm going to bed now, but am pre posting thinking it will be the same problem tomorrow (though I turned it off and started it again with no problem when I got home).

Should I replace the starter? Or could it be something else?

 

Sounds like battery or alternater. It would be better to get them cheked than to kust start replacing parts.

 

Exactly what I was thinking. If you boosted it off then I would not think the starter was a problem. A clicking sound could be a dead battery.
