Default Starter or Flywheel?

I have 2014 f150 4x4 5.0 xlt. I'm having issues with intermittent starting. I can turn truck over 5 times and it will be fine then the next couple times it sounds like the starter just whines and doesn't turn engine over. It happens like 4-5 times a week. Just replaced battery because of bad post but still has this symptom almost every 3 tries. Starter?????????? Hopefully not flywheel.

Sounds like the Bendix in the starter isn't holding. If it was the fly wheel it would make a horrific grinding sound.

it makes a bad noise but sounds like starter spinning because engine never tries to turn. I will replace starter this week. I just hate to swap it out cause it always seems that I have to do it like 3 times before I get a good one.
Thanks.

Replacing the starter was the fix. Thanks.
