Default Sputtering/missing in the rain

I've tried looking around on this forum for my question, but I guess its not a common as the daily "what tire should I get" threads . I drive a 2003 f150 4X4. On normal bases lately my truck is a bit jumpy will idling, and it seems to not have as much power sometimes. Every time it rains my truck will start to sputter when I accelerate, when i get around 65-70 mph the check engine light come on and it sputters real bad, in the rain. The plugs are good, any ideals of what this may be? All I know is that somethings getting wet that shouldn't be. Thanks
