Spark plugs
Looking to do plugs for the first time on my new to me, 2014 F150 Ecoboost, 45k miles. From what I've read everyone seems to stick with Motorcraft SP-580's but I found these, NGK90495Ruthenium HX, the are supposed to be a step up from Iridium plugs for Turbo engines. Thoughts?

SP-534’s @.030! Cheap insurance to replace the bolts also.

I’m soooo sorry! That was an “auto correct “ typo. It should have been BOOTS! The rubber boot that goes between the plug and the coil. They are just a few bucks each. A tiny, tiny, TINY bit of anti-seize for aluminum on the plug threads and dilectric grease between the plug and boot. Others may disagree but if used sparingly, it won’t hurt!

I really don’t have any input on these new NGK’s. This is the first I’m hearing about them but I do know that NGK does have a good reputation for producing quality parts.
I can say that these newer Ford engines tend to react better with certain OEM parts. Spark plugs, coils etc.
If you do go with the NGK’s, please give us some feedback. I’m sure others would also be curious.

I've always replaced my spark plugs with the motorcraft sp534 still got the stock boots and coil packs I just bought the sp580 Haven't installed them since I order a new truck with the 5.0. never had a problem with the mis fires currently have 142,000 on my 2013 fx4 Ecoboost all stock

Well I was not having a particular issue, just trying to get my best mileage. Changed plugs with the New NGK's and replaced the boots while I was at it. Runs as well as it was and mileage is still about the same, crap, so no harm no foul so far!
