Default Is this sound normal? - VIDEO

Hey guys,

I have a 2009 Ford F-150 and it started making an engine noise yesterday. I took it to a shop, said it was making a noise in the engine and they ran a diagnosis. They said it was the tenioner pulley so they replaced that and the belt. However after I got home I saw it was still making the same noise. Check it out
.

Should I take it back to the shop?

not unless it is to pickup a refund!

simple test to help narrow it down (at least if it always make that noise). Remove belt. Start truck and let it run a bit (not too long, don’t let it overheat). If it doesn’t make the noise, then you know the source of noise if from an accessory and not engine. If that is the case, spin all of the pulleys and try to identify a bad bearing. If you can’t find it. Put belt back on, run it to make sound, then try to use a “mechanics stethascope” to identify source of noise.

if noise is present with belt off, then you may need to go to a better shop to help figure it out (depending on your knowledge/comfort in working on engine)

ps: doubt you’ll get a Refund, but it would be interesting to ask shop how they diagnosed it as tensioner and belt

I did that but couldn't see anything out of the ordinary. I think it has something to do with the fan. I turned it by hand and it wasn't scraping on anything.
