I had the warped front rotors so I went a head and had the front and rear rotors turned. It stopped the shaking during braking. Now about a year later, the front rotors are warped again. That was the last time I could cut them, 2WD rotors ain't cheap because some one at Ford got the bright idea to combine them with the wheel bearings. Just one of those things I'm gonna live with as warped. My clutch has been warped since it had 10K miles on it (now has 30K miles on it) and well, I've lost faith in many things with the Ford oval stamped on them since (such as the clutch components).

Question Brake oscillation woes.

Hello everyone, I'm looking for some answers for this problem. I have a 2004 F150 2WD Supercrew with 98000 miles on it. I have replaced the Rotors and new brakepads because of oscillation of the brake pedal when slowing down to a stop. It got to the point that it would shake so bad my wipers jumped up and down. Well I got them replaced but although improved performance, I still felt the ocillation very slightly right after the repair. I figured maybe it was the new brake pads but 2 years later it got as worse as back when I changed them. I was told the rotors were probably warpped. Well I took them today to get them cut. The pads are almost new. Installed them and I can still feel the oscillation; though not as bad as before I cut them. But it's still there.

How can I identify what is the problem? I have seen suggestions of torque on lugnuts, ABS pump, rear brake, etc. One quick note. There is a possible leak of brake fluid but cannot find it. But in a few months my resavoir goes low.

Anyway, I hope I get answers soon. I thought maybe it was the booster having vacuum issues so I removed the vacuum hose from the booster and used just pedal force to brake; but could still feel the oscillation.

Please Help!

I'm having the same problem, replaced tires, rotors, pads, just not shocks yet but all of the fixes seemed to help but didn't make shaking disappear...and its intermittent....frustrating to say the least....like when go from 65 on down.....

The brakes have my vote as well. My wife had an 05 Escape that had a warped front rotor. It vibrated and pulled a little to the right under braking.

Sounds like you need your drums/rotors machined
