Default Replacement is the Repair:

Take the broken compressor to your nearest reliable and honest AC shop or parts dealer and turn it in for a rebuilt. And don't forget to get a new clutch assembly as well.

Yes, indeed....the job done right will have a new or rebuilt compressor/clutch, a new accumulator/dryer, a new orifice, a new clutch-cycling pressure switch, new seals and the evaporator, condenser and lines will have been flushed....of course new refrigerant (R134A) and oil (universal polyol ester or Ford certified PAG) as well.
