Default Rough idle maybe..

New to the forum. I have a 2010 FX4 5.4 V8. 150k miles on it and I love this truck. I’ve changed the plugs and just did all the drive train fluids, including the transmission fluids. My idle stays at 500, just want to know if a little rough w/o any codes is a must-fire or just normal ware on the engine .!

ps any suggestions for longevity on the truck is greatly appreciated.

My 09 would idle at 525 rpm (monitored with my scangauge II) with the stock tune. My custom 5* tune had it adjusted to 600rpm and was a lot smoother.

Longevity: change your oil often so the VCT system doesn't get clogged with debris or sludge. Synthetic 5w30 (i used 0w40 for my 09) would work well. FL820s filter from Ford. Those two things are cheap insurance.
