Default Required Maintenance Work

Folks,

I have experienced my truck stalling at highway speed on two occasions. Both times a wrench symbol appeared and both times the truck reset itself by putting the truck in park and starting it again. After some research online it appears that this is a throttle body issue and my local dealership has cofirmed that is probably the issue. The truck is still under warranty.

The question I have for folks more knowledgable than me is: Is it required to do a Throttle Body and Fuel Injection Flush and an FCM reprogram prior to installing the new Throttle Body parts?

The parts are covered under warranty but the flush and reprogram are not. So a little over 300 dollars later I am waiting on the part to arrive and just want to be sure my money was spent wisely.
