Remote start doesn't work in cold
I have a F150XLT 5.4 engine with what I'm to assume to be a factory starter (it was installed after I bought the truck) the users manual the dealer gave me doesn't have any specs or information as to what it's make/model is.
I used the odd time over the summer so I know it works but it's getting cold now and it won't start the truck. It goes through the start cycle turns the engine over once and then honks the horn once. Thats it, afterwards the truck is sitting as though you just turned the key to the on position.
I tried for a week cold in the morning and warm in the afternoon with the same results. Except on the fifth day it was cold in the afternoon and it didn't work.
Thanks for any suggestions
