I have a 2013 f150 xlt. I'm trying to add remote start and everything I read says all I need is a new 4button key to program, antenna(kit BC3Z-19G364-A) and to have a ford dealership unlock the remote start feature with IDS or Forscan...I went to the dealership to have this done and they looked at me like I had 3 heads! From my understanding all 2011-2014 f150's have this available. Am I wrong?? Dealership says I need a module and wiring to the ignition. Not even close to what I've researched... Any insight would be helpful! TIA

 

Dealership is not going to give you remote start. They don't use FORScan, you do. FORScan hacks the vehicle. IDS is used by a dealer, but not to give you options like remote start that you didn't "pay for". If you buy the cellular re!ote start, then a dealer will turn it on.

If you buy remote start from the dealer, i.e. the kit with the keys, they will turn it on.

 

So I am correct though that I already have remote start that it just needs to be activated in my truck(2013)? I already have the kit and installed which is basically just an antenna.
