I'm new to the forms and am not sure what N9 means, but I wish it was stuck open because then I would just replace the broken parts or entire door. However I'm not able to remove any parts on the inside without the door actually being opened. If no ideas on what it could be, the next question is whats the best cost effective way to cut into a door to get it open?

Its a 2010 Ford F150 XL Supercrew Cab(4 Full Doors) 125,000 miles

I was able to force the door panel off to take a look inside. Nothing is broken inside or laying at the bottom of the door. Both cables for the door handles are working it seems. The locking bar moves up and down without tension. The power door locks move it up and down as well. The window is also able to move.

-I attempted to manually pull the lock bar up (So I think its unlocked) then move the door handles around both outside and inside and hit the door to try to push it open.

-I sprayed WD40 inside the actuator where the lock bar goes into.

I believe something inside the actuator locking mechanism is broken however I cant figure out a way to open the door and need help. I've looked up so many youtube videos and posts and it seems nobody has had this same problem.

Step 1, how do you open a door that is stuck shut and wont unlatch? Thanks
Hello, still looking for help with the above issue. Big safety hazard.

It must not be that much of a safety hazzard since you haven't fixed it in two years. Take it to a body shop and let them fix it.

You might not think it is a safety hazard but now that we have a kid on the way, there will be a passenger in the back and in case of an emergency that door needs to be opened. Can you understand the safety hazard when I spell it out to you or do you need a dictionary to define it? Im sure you didnt read the post; I did take it to a body shop already. Thanks for your input though.

Try operating the lock mechanism and observe where inside the door that it contacts with and see that the mechanism is actually moving as it is supposed to. Sounds like something might be bent or out of place and is not functioning properly. If you need to - take the other rear door panel off and see how the properly operating side looks and works. From doing this you should be able to figure out what's going on.

Thanks for your post, I did look at the working door and compared it and both locking and unlocking rods go inside of a white box. I think the white box is the actuator that cant be removed unless the door is open. I was thinking of just breaking this piece completely off, do you think I could open the door then? Im afraid that breaking wont help but I guess theres no point in not doing it.

Hectorz. I assume you have now found how to fix, but if not, go to U-Tube and search for video. There several which show how to do it, and are not difficult.

@Hectorz Did you ever figure this out? I have letter for letter the exact same problem as you. Also with the kiddos; I need this door working to drop them off/pick them up from school. I'm still trying to figure out how to get those two bottom screws out of the door panel.
