I have to replace the pinion seal in my 2011 f150 with 5.0
since I will have the cover off I want to put a aluminum cover back on, maybe one with O ringDo you guys have any recommendations?

Here's a good thread. I learned more. Didn't know that the "super" 8.8 had a housing like the 9.75 (post #16). Only one guy's comment so still don't really know if it's true. More research needed. Edit - looked around and don't think it's true. I think the guy was just confused. Weird that nobody called him on it.
I'd check the tags on the bolts and/or the sticker on the axle tube. People change things. My door tag says open 8.8 but it has an LSD inside. I modified the bolt tag to show it. You never know. Yours looks like a 9.75 though.
