Default Rear breaks

Hey, so ive been looking around for a cheap f150 and i found a 1998 f150 4.6 and 2wd but it says needs rear breaks and manifold gasket. Is this a big cost to replace? Thanks

It depends on how the bolts come out. I never had problems

alright, do you know what the cost to do the rear brakes and the manifold gasket would be? just want to know before buying, thanks

Advanced Auto parts has the good Felpro exhaust gasket $8.99 for each side.

OK rear brakes: This is an area I don't believe in cutting corners. This is one of those areas that can get you killed if not done right. Your truck has rear disc brakes. parts wise a good set of pads will go for anything between $45 to $80 dollars depending on how fancy you want to get. How about the emergency brake shoes while you are in there check them out these shoes run anywhere between $20 to $45 dollars a set (both sides) again how much you spend is up to you. Here is a tutorial from Youtube that should be of help. This is for a 2000 Ford Explorer it should be the same. Do your self a favor and get a flare wrench for the bleed nipples. Most all of the part store sell them they run about $8 dollars each.
