Default Random Crank, No Start

Hello I have a 2010 XLT 5.4L 4x4 short bed. I have been having an intermittent problem of Crank, no start. After shutting off my truck. It's becoming more and more frequent. I do have remote start on the truck but I don't think that's the issues(but who knowns). After trying to use the remote, it won't start the truck either. My work around for this was/is just Disco negative on the battery for a few minutes. Eventually it works and the truck starts again. I thought I figured out the cause of it was letting it sit and idle in park, but since I replaced the cam phrases it just happens randomly. The last time this happened while I waited I took the time and unplugged all the wires from the remote start module in hopes that it would start. Narrowing down my issues to the remote start it self. After that I feel like it something else. I'm have no idea where to really start looking for a issues like this. Any thoughts?

Based on the symptoms as you nicely described, I would be suspicious of the CKP (Crankshaft Position Sensor) or correct installation of the tone ring during the timing job. Start by cleaning electrical connections and make sure they are good/solid. I guess second I would try replacing the CKP. It can definitely cause a crank-no-start condition. Third, I guess I would try to get a 'scope' trace reading from the CKP hoping to verify the tone ring is doing its thing correctly.

Replaced both the Crank and cam sensors in the front cover and placed the tone ring with the word front facing out towards the bumper. I've dove into it some more after typing this post and have come to the conclusion that it's probably the key cylinder since my keys have the chip in them. I haven't called Ford yet to see how much it will cost to replace it and get it reprogrammed for the new keys. But shouldn't be that much(I hope) I can pick them up for about $55 +p & h. So we will see if this fixes it!

That sounds reasonable. That would have to mean ignition circuits would not be hot when they should be, when starter motor is energized ----- Yes/No? When it happens, can you get a reading on that circuit (Hot when / Key ON & Start) from somewhere?
