Default Power window doesn't work

I have a 2011 FX4 and the passenger side window will not operate up or down when I initially start the truck. If I turn it off and on again it works fine. I work out of town so dealership is out of the question for the next few weeks and I have no idea when it started because it has only just begun to be nice enough out to unroll the window in these parts. Any help or thoughts?

I managed to find an earlier thread on here mentioning the same issue, but no one ever resolved it and it was from late 2011. Does anyone know if it was ever identified as an issue with Ford or do I have to try and replicate the problem and take it into the dealership?

Sounds like a relay sticking, no clue where it is but if your still under warranty tell the service writer so the tech can at least change it.

I bought a 2013 a couple months ago. Just last week my rear power sliding window was opening fine but when I would try to close it I would have to play with the switch for like 5mins to get it to finally close. I took it to my dealer and they looked at it figured out it was a faulty switch. Not one of the side windows but it could be the same thing in your situation.

On most fords past the mid 90's they installed a RAP unit that is the controler for all of the auto functions on the truck. Power door locks, power windows, auto door locks, auto lights etc. Because this is not part of the computer functions it is located separately, usually behind the passenger side kick panel. This unit is used instead of relays and pretty much either works or it doesn't. If only one window in not working, it's probably the switch.
