I have a 2001 f150 with factory keyless entry. Last Christmas I had an aftermarket remote start with keyless entry and alarm installed. About 1 month ago my power locks pretty much quit working. When I try to open them it sounds like there is not enough power going to them to make it work, however I can hear a clicking in the dash on the passenger side. I was told this is where the BCM is located. Both lock and unlock do not work. Just today the unlock quit working all together, meaning that I do not even hear a clicking from the BCM. I have heard that the body control module could need replaced. Any suggestions?

 

there should be a reset button, try hitting that.

also, check where the starter is spliced in, mine is spliced in on the passenger side right off of the controll box.

Solenoids, I think that's what you mean. They get weak over time. My 02 drivers door had the same problem

 

any idea who to actually get to them after the door panel any everything is off?
