Unhappy Possible fuel pump failure?

Having a no start issue with my 01 supercrew after it ran out of gas on the highway. Had the vehicle towed to my home, I ran it for codes but nothing comes up (CL is on). Cranks and sparks just fine, I'm waiting on a fuel pressure gauge to check the fuel pressure regulator.

Any ideas/thoughts/comments?

Check the fuel filter for contamination. You might have picked up some trash from the bottom of the tank. Just thought of this, you need to check the owners manual to see if you have an inertia switch that might have released. It pops back into place and allows the fuel pump to energize. I'm not sure which year trucks have them so check the manual.

On the fuel rail that connects to the injectors there should be a bleed valve somewhere, locate it and push it in, if fuel sprays out and when you turn the ignition on you can here the fuel pump run for about 3 or 4 seconds then chances are it might not be your fuel pump.
