Pin hole in a tire sidewall
Strangest thing what happened. I had a slow leak in a 2010 F150 tire. Nobody could find it. Only leaked off 3 lbs per day. The other day I removed the wheel/tire and went over it slowly with soapy water. Finally I found a pinhole [and I do mean a pinhole] in the sidewall. My tire guy says you can't put a patch on a sidewall. However this hole is so small and the tire is like new that I'd like to save it somehow. How about that repair stuff in a can? I'm sure a light coat would seal this baby up. Other suggestions??

Hummm I tried a couple places and the word was "NO" They said a sidewall flexes and a patch won't stay on!
You are saying Firestone disagrees with this and they will patch?

I have always been told that sidewalls are not safe to patch. The Slime tire sealant type things work sometimes but alot of places don't like to mess with a tire that has slime. It makes a huge mess.
