Default Pin hole in a tire sidewall

Strangest thing what happened. I had a slow leak in a 2010 F150 tire. Nobody could find it. Only leaked off 3 lbs per day. The other day I removed the wheel/tire and went over it slowly with soapy water. Finally I found a pinhole [and I do mean a pinhole] in the sidewall. My tire guy says you can't put a patch on a sidewall. However this hole is so small and the tire is like new that I'd like to save it somehow. How about that repair stuff in a can? I'm sure a light coat would seal this baby up. Other suggestions??

Does anyone feel this would coat up the side wall and solve this problem?
The pinhole is about 2 inches up from the face of the tire.

No chain store will touch a sidewall. But if you take it to a small, independent shop they may be willing to remove the tire and put on an inside patch, which should work.

Firestone will patch it if you have a Firestone tire company near you

Hummm I tried a couple places and the word was "NO" They said a sidewall flexes and a patch won't stay on!
You are saying Firestone disagrees with this and they will patch?

They usually have in the past.. Ive brought many tires there that discount tire wouldn't touch.

I have always been told that sidewalls are not safe to patch. The Slime tire sealant type things work sometimes but alot of places don't like to mess with a tire that has slime. It makes a huge mess.
