Default Performance chip removal

Hello Friends,

I recently purchased a 2006 SCAB 5.4 with a few mods done to it. I am in the process of removing some of the mods in an effort to take the truck back to stock. I removed an AFE stage 2 CAI and the TB spacer and put on a stock AI. While doing this, I found a SLR Motorsports performance chip attached to the MAF sensor cable. After searching the forums, I learned that these chips are pretty much garbage but I could not find any specifics on how to remove them.

Is it as simple as cutting the wires and call it a day or is there more to it?

Thanks

And it off and burned. It may be my imagination, but the throttle response see to have improved!

Thanks again for your advice!
