I've been searching online for a problem in having with my passenger door. When the handle is pulled, the door is pushed open. Rather it has to be manually pushed while the handle is pulled out. Does anyone know how to fix this? I want to know of the problem(s) and possible fixes before I go popping off my door handle when I don't even know what I'm looking for. Thanks

I have a 2004 FX4

 

Might just need to adjust the door latch. Loosen and slide it slightly back away from the door. Small adjustment, go to far and it will rattle against the body when u hit bumps

 

Do I need to unscrew the door panel to do this?

 

No. You can adjust the door catch at the body where the striker is ( black hoop looking piece half way up the door opening on the body or the catch that's on the door itself. I think there's 3 screws one the door catch and two on the striker
