96 explorer has P0708 code. Changed the Trans Range Sensor but code still there. I can clear the code and drive forever without the code coming back, but when i turn the engine off the code comes back when i start back up again.Need to get this fixed to pass emissions. Can anyone help?

Someone just checked the transmission temp and it registered 8000 degrees (eight thousand) Does it sound like a bad wiring harness or a problem with the PCM
