I recently purchased a 1977 F150 4x4 Short Box as a project truck for my self and my son. To be transparent, I consider myself a novice in regards to automotive knowledge. I have started to create the project list which currently includes replacing the wiring harness due to various electrical issues throughout the truck. I started to read through the installation instructions for the harness kit and see that it will not work with the original alternator. I am now trying to determine if the original alternator is still installed. I cannot find any markings and the white sticker has faded to the point that there is nothing visible. Any suggestions on how I validate whether it is original? I have attached a picture.
