Default Oil issue?

Hey guys I was cleaning my filter, cleaning my air sensors and draining my catch can today when I noticed this on the underside of my oil cap, looks like the junk that come s out of the catch can, should I be worried?

It's not uncommon to find milky sludge inside of an oil cap like that although that looks like a lot. I've never run a catch can. Was yours really full?
id say clean out the cap and drive a couple of days and recheck it.

How often do you run the truck for more than 30 minutes? It needs to stay hot for a while to cook the water out of the oil. Short commuter trips are hell on a vehicle.

That long neck and cap set-up is not really conducive to any sort of flow to keep that area flushed out. moisture and oil mist can go up there and condense, and there's nothing to drive it out of that long, capped tube.

Wipe it out when you change your oil.

Also, what Steve83 said.

I would think that if short drives is the main cause for this to happen mine would look the same, it doesn't, it's clean. Don't have the answer but there must be more to it.

Yes, there are many factors. Fuel composition, oil composition, ambient temps, driving style, how well the engine was broken-in...
