Default No charging after new engine.

2004 F150 4.6 new body 4x4 scab

Got the new engine in, it runs good but it isn't charging. The gauge shows it is charging when I have a small jumper pack on it but once the gauge dies it is over.

It had no charging issues previous to the engine change and it ran perfect.

No fuses under the dash are blown(passenger compartment). I dont See anything unhooked. The fuseable link under the black bar that goes to the firewall ground doesn't appear broken.

Anyone have any thoughts?

What does "The gauge shows it is charging when I have a small jumper pack on it but once the gauge dies it is over." mean?

The dash gauges show the correct voltage. Which seemed odd to me given the discharged state of the battery.

We got it figured out. There was a wire in the wrong place.
