Default new trucks got some problems!

I recently bought a 1992 f150 xl that seems to have a few problems.. At idle it sumbles like a miss. And under slight acceleration / maintaining a constant speed the whole truck bucks and studders . Sometimes its bad sometimes its just plain annoying. Especially in first gear. But it seems to only do this when the motor is up to temperature. Plus it only does it in a certain RPM range. I do not have a tachometer but I'd say its from 2000-2750. And speaking of temperature... it seems to be running on the cold side. Is that normal? The gauge only goes up to the N in normal. Doesnt get any hotter. The only other problem I have with it is when the motor is cold and I go to shift, the RPMs do not drop. Sometimes they even rise. Ill either have to wait roughly five seconds for the RPMs to go back down or tap the throttle and it'll go right down.

The studdering problem.. I am lead to believe it is an EGR problem or a faulty TPS. and the sticky throttle? I don't know about that one. And the fact that it runs so cool is just ..fishy.

I know for a fact that I need a new valve cover gasket and head gasket. I put some mystery oil in the tank and ran high octane fuel thinking the bucking could be bad gas but I've been through like three tanks and a half a bottle of dry gas. I hope the motor isnt gonna junk out on me. These trucks are reputable for their long lives and dear God I absolutely love this truck. Any suggestions or replies will be appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Be honest in your description so that you don't waste other peoples time.

You have a 21 year old truck. Be happy it still runs.

What are you trying to say . I'm lying? It runs like ***. My primary concern is the bucking/hesitation. It gets pretty serious. Thanks for your reply. Lots of help...

Your post is deceptive, you stated "new trucks got some problems!"

You clearly do NOT have a new truck.

My point being issues that happen with a 21 year old vehicle are not even close to todays vehicles issues.

You will get the most informative and helpful information at the best possible speed if you are truthfull in your post description.

Go to the doctor and tell him your knee hurts and walk out with a sore *** because you were given a colonoscopy. same principle.
