Default new jasper engine

04 f150 fx4 supercrew. original 170k motor was suffering all the usual problems, mostly the cam timing issues. The decision was made to replace the engine entirely (as this wasn't the only problem going on) with a reman jasper 5.4 3v. The trucks in pretty good condition otherwise: no rust, electrical, or trans issues.

Has anyone else had this jasper replacement? thoughts? any changes to factory hp or torque? long term issues? is there a break in period?
I see on their website they say they have addressed some of the issues this factory engine suffers, I hope that's the case.
after all was said and done, the jasper was around $100 cheaper than a ford replacement, and my mechanic thought the jasper was the better option. Its a better warranty if nothing else.

anyway, if anyone has any thoughts or stories I'd appreciate hearing them.

We use Jasper engines in our fleet with mixed results, overall good but we have had a few turds as well.
