Just logged in. I have gotten a lot of great info from forums for Harley and Cadillac. Thought I would try this for F150. I have a '05 F150 Lariat SCrew 4x4, 43,000 miles. This is 3rd F150; had 1990, then 2000. I used to do most maintenance work myself, but have not in years. Economy in the tank has me rethinking doing some maintenance work again. I'll probably need new brakes on the front soon, but have not taken the front wheels off myself, so have not looked at the setup. I've done brakes on other trucks, but they were not 4x4. I'll surf the forum for brake posts. Anything weird or difficult about brake replacement on front of '05 4x4?

Other than the brake rotors are insanely expensive... no. Its pretty straight forward. The cost of the rotors is driven up by the fact that it has the bearings built into the rotors. Expect to pay approx $400+/- for just the rotors alone.

...maybe not so bad:

From the parts description on the autoparts site it appears that the 4WD rotors
are replaced separate from the hubs, including the H/D Brake Payload Package, in which case the cost for the rotors alone would be $110-$220.
