Default Need some help/recommendations. Plugs

Currently I am working on replacing my plugs on my 07 5.4 Crew. I have had anightmare on doing this from the start. 7 out of 8 plugs either broke or thethreaded collar backed out leaving the porcelain in. I was able to get 6 ofthem out with the extraction tool. I am stuck on number 8cyl. The collar backedout and with several attempts of twisting turning and staring the engine theb!tch is in there.
Please any ideas.

Try squirting the plug area with PB Blaster to loosen the stuck porcelain. If that doesn't loosen it up..... or.... Replace all the plugs except #8. Reconnect all the coils and drive as normal until the porcelain stuck in #8 pops loose. Above all, avoid being struck by this errant projectile!

I think that will be what I have to do. I thought about it before. Its a pain that its just simple change of spark plugs.

Thanks

Man I feel fortunate after reading this. Tough luck DesertFox.
The passenger sides came out easily. I worked them back and forth and inched them out. Thinking the rest would be a breeze, I then broke the front 2 on the driver side. I sprayed more gogo juice in the 2 remaining plugs and backed them out a hair more to ensure the juice gets in there so they have time to break down while I extract.

I then really took my time on the back 2 plugs on the driver side and fortunately they came out.

I just replaced the plugs in my 05 5.4 liter, and I had no issues at all. I had one replaced by a dealership a few months back because of the ignition coil, and they said the plugs looked like they were the original ones installed 123,000 miles ago.

Needless to say, I managed to change all of the other ones with a socket wrench and such without breaking any of them. I think because I was careful when cranking on the wrench so that I didnt bust my knuckles, that thats how I managed not to break them. I used plenty of force, but limited the range of motion so that I wouldn't damage them. I also used WD-40 "rust buster" or whatever its called very sparingly. Id turn the plug a bit, then spray some in sparingly so it would loosen everything up.

Sucks your truck has to go into the shop man. I hope it comes out swingin, and that they don't overprice their services!
