Default Need some advice

I was recently changing my plugs, I got them all changed and was on the last plug up near the firewall and when I was reinstalling the ignition coil the head of the bolt sheared off but due to the collar on the coil I still have a decent amount of the bolt showing. I have tried using vice grips and have been all over town looking for an extractor that is small enough, cant drill into it and use an ease out due to its location so I was thinking about unhooking my ecu and disconnecting the airbags and then just welding a nut to the top of it so I can remove it and finally be able to drive my truck again. So I guess I’m just wondering if this is an ok route to take or if I should avoid it due to causing further damage to my vehicle, please help!!!

On utube ford guy Tecmoloco I think has a nice video on this. He heats it with a pocket torch etc. Check it out.
This is for an 09-14 5.0l engine as I recall.

In the meantime (before extraction), just install coil/plug and you can still drive it with out bolting down the coil. It’s not ideAl, but is ok. You could just check it periodically.

Also, you don’t need to (shouldn’t) crank those cop bolts down crazy tight. Just snug them up. By hand.

Without the head of the bolt, can't you remove the coil? You just did the work, the coil/boot may be easier to remove at this point.

It is difficult to get back there no matter the year or motor, but maybe, just maybe, you can get the coil lifted off then unscrew the remainder of the bolt.
