Default Need help ASAP With steering column

So i tore down my steering column to replace my steering wheel bearings (upper two) and i am at the point will i can see the most upper bearing but not sure how to remove the bearings.

Do i need to disconect the upper shaft? or do i just remove the upper column housing?

On the housing listed #3 in the picture, i removed the two screws, and removed the tilt wheel spring. But it wont side of the shaft, maybe because the bearings are toast? Do i need a puller again or am i doing it wrong?

#1: upper bearings
#2:Shaft
#3: upper column housing?

Need help ASAP please and thank you.
