Default Multiple Cranks to Start when Cold

Hello All,

I am new to the forum and have a repair question for anyone that would like to share their knowledge & wisdom. I have a 06 Ford F150 XLT (4.6L) where I am having some difficulty starting when cold. Within the last year I replaced the spark plugs & ignition coil, fuel filter and fuel pump driver module (FPDM) which tool care of my engine check light. However, the truck takes about 1-3 cranks before it fires up - seems like the engine is starved of fuel and the cranking primes it. I thought maybe the injectors are a bit clogged since I've been getting minor engine stumbling at idle when I am at a light. This week I am adding some Lucas gas treatment/injector cleaner to the gas when I fill up. Does anyone have any ideas what could be preventing it from firing up when the engine is cold. When it's warmed up, it starts just fine. Thanks in advance.

UPDATE 5.13.16: I've replaced the fuel pump, spark plugs, FPDM, fuel pressure sensor, cleaned the throttle body and MAF, PCV valve and replaced the fuel filter - still the problem persists.

The problem is 2 fold: First Issue: when the engine is cold, it will take 2 - 3 cranks before it starts and sounds like fuel pressure needs to build to start. Also, I noticed the smell of gas only when it has to crank multiple times but not when it's warm and fires up the first time. Second Issue: it runs fine at speeds however when idling it'll run a little rough and stutter - maybe a misfire.

At this point, I am at a loss. For all of you who have experience diagnosing this issue, I could use your advice. I'd hate to have to take it to a shop or even worse, the dealer, since i've gone this far diagnosing the issues.
